Adventure Stone question

I just want to verify, if I get 10 successes at each LDoN camp and talk to
the right people, it upgrades my Adventure Stone to a charm with resists?

And if I get 80 successes at each camp, it upgrades to a super charm with
the same resists?

And there are 5 camps with 2 different dungeons off of each camp with 5
different types of adventure and 2 degrees of difficulty for each dungeon?
5 x 2 x 5 x 2 = 100 different possible LDoN experiences?

Thanks.

Any 10 wins at one camp will upgrade your charm augment. It doesn't
upgrade the charm itself, rather the augment you got when you finished
the Magus quest to be able to port around between the wayfarer camps.

Every upgrade is +2 hitpoints/mana, every 5th upgrade also gives you
+1 to all stats and resists.

Basically, yes.

5 camps with 8 different dungeon per camp so 40 different dungeon
layouts. You can't really call them all 'different LDoN experiences'
though, all dungeons withing a wayfarer camp tend to have feel the
same; same mobs, same loot, same types of passages and rooms...

Yeah, but the plus side to LDoN, which is why I love it, is that it's
different from normal xp grouping where you sit in one spot the whole
time while the puller drags mobs to you. In LDoN adventures, you have
to keep moving through the dungeon...

Ok, still a little confused. I've got the triangular stone for moving from
magus to magus. I understand now that 10 wins = upgrade (which you get by
talking to the special npc at each camp and getting "new information,
right?). Does the stone turn into a charm slot item after the first
upgrade? And do I really have to get 50 wins just to get +1 to all stats
and resists.

I'm working on resist gear and this seemed a semi-easy way to get +10 across
the board but now it sounds like more work than I thought.

Thanks for the info.

The Adventurer's Stone is an augment not a charm. You need to attach it to
a charm (it only fits on charms) like you attach an augment to any other
item, ie in the "birdbath" at one of the wayfarer camps.

As silly as this sounds - I've never seen a charm. I've been playing EQ
well before Charms came out. My main is a 51 warrior (okay, I'm a more
casual player who doesn't believe in PL'ing) and I routinely check in the
bazaar for charms whenever I'm there.

Am I too low to be seeing them as drops? Have I just been very unlucky?
Are charms always NoDrop?

If not, where should I send my Warrior to find a charm that he can augment?

At least, almost always no drop. And almost always from somewhere in
LoY, or a quest requiring drops from LoY.

Try this, if you have PoP:
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2469

If you don't have PoP, you can spend a couple adventure points to buy a
charm off the adventure merchants.

You are L51, you should be able to go to PoK and talk to the dwarf near
the Tranq zone and he'll give you a charm.

Right.

It's an augment that only fits onto a charm. It will fit any charm as
far as I know, and you can always replace it free of charge if you
upgrade your charm slot. As someone mentioned, the easiest charm to
get if you're high enough lvl is the one in PoP. You just hail an NPC.

A minimum of 50 since you can't assume that they'll be distributed
evenly. If you had 19 wins in each theme, that would only count as 5
upgrades.

I'm not even sure if the aug can go up to +10 but yeah, it would be a
bitch to max out your LDoN augment. It's been a while since I saw any
numbers but I think it was somewhere around 80 wins in each theme to
max it.

On the bright side, LDoN is one of the best places to work on resist
gear due to the augments (for your regular gear) that drop there.

This is what I was curious about. I have completed 45 LDoN, with 3 not
complete. My adventurer's stone, combined with a charm and in my charm
slot, shows no bonus. When I equip and unequip it, no stats change
whatsoever.

I am 51st level. See that it say recommended level 65. Still, with 45 wins,
really thought I should be seeing some benefits.

I think you have to talk to some NPC at the camp to get the stone
to reflect your successes. (I haven't done enough LDoN to do it
yet, so I don't know for sure.)

LDoN Charm Augment -- Who to see for stat bumps

Incredibly useful. You wouldn't happen to know the steps on the charm
augment, would you?

Step 1: 1 hp 1 mana 1 end
Step 2: 2 hp 2 mana 2 end
Step 3: 5 hp 5 mana 5 end

That's as far as I've gotten so far.

LDoN Charm Augment -- Who to see for stat bumps

Thank you for your contribution to the FAQ, Doctorzoid. This will be
added sometime this week, maybe even today or tomarrow. I've been thinking
that LDoN needs it own section.

I am also adding a Misc. EQ Tip section as well.

You have to talk to a person at the camp where your adventures were.
Every two adventures, you will get new dialogue, and every ten (in the
same camp), you will get an upgrade to the stone. Just try talking to
the people in each camp who don't have a "function" (recruiter,
merchant, magus), one of them will tell you a little story, and when
you've gotten five stories, you get an upgrade. Sometimes you get
sent away to some other NPC in another zone, and need to talk to them
for a while.
